bump watch #4:: 27/28 weeks

It took me a week to actually finish this post and take a picture---so I'm combining 27/28 weeks. Also, you can tell I'm utterly exhausted in this pic---any every other picture. Ah hello there, third trimester.

Weeks: 27/28---hello third trimester!
Movement: definitely some big movements and she's gotten a few good jabs in. I'm starting to actually feel feet/elbows sticking out. The kids think it's super cool.
Symptoms: I had a few super painful days the past weekish. She seemed to be on some nerve causing lots of fun pain. Good thing I'm able to kick back a lot and rest to feel better ;) And my rib pain is back. I'm really hoping this little one does not give me another broken rib like her big brother. It's been super, super painful so I'm afraid we are going that route again but not a whole lot I can do.
Cravings: red apples cut up---not whole obviously, Panera's cinnamon crunch bagels, sliced, toasted with Panera's cream cheese. Obviously not picky at all. Other than that I'm not super hungry.
New: We hit the less than 3 month mark which makes me think we should actually start doing some things on our list. We also are about to start on our basement remodel and trying to cram in everything before the baby gets here.
Sleep: Eh all over the place & pretty crappy. I am always super hot and need the fan on while poor hubby is shivering under a bunch of blankets. I'm also usually up in the middle of the night a bunch of times which I use to catch up on all my trashy shows. Steven will usually roll over in the middle of the night and find me watching some ridiculous show and eating cereal. I definitely need to start sleeping again soon.

Highlights: Not quite this week but the basement clean out has been amazing. A lot was down there that I struggled with parting with. Now I'm in nesting mode and a smidge more rational, I'm having an easier time parting with things that don't bring me joy. {Thanks, Marie Kondo!} I've been realizing that holding on to pieces that were once my parents' but don't hold memories for me, isn't bringing my parents back to me. I'm learning that a few pieces and all my pictures/letters/mementos I've found hold so much more value to me than a house full of old things that aren't tied to memories.

going private

So the old blog is going private. There is no one specific reason but rather something that has just been weighing on my mind and mostly just wanting to respect our privacy and our kiddos' privacy as well. I love having this little journal to document our lives as we grow as a family and I love looking back at different memories so I don't want to totally give it up but I am craving that privacy for my family.

So my handful of readers are more than willing to follow along in our journey by just letting me know and I'll grant access to you. I am starting a new blog to document our renovation projects that will be left public but this little corner of the internet will be going private on January 24th. 0.3

giggles, grins & good times!
