Ava loves her puffs---they are addicting for me too! I used to pop them in her mouth but today she started picking them up herself and trying to get them in her mouth! What a big girl working on her fine motor skills! :)

Steven had the day off today & kept Ava home from school. I'm not going to lie---I was a tad nervous. Not that she wouldn't get great care but I was nervous on the state of the house when I came home. He far exceeded my expectations---they painted and cleaned and did laundry. He is quite the househusband! Ava and I have a tradition of napping after her 6 am bottle in bed where we watch the morning news and she was not going to let Steven get away with skipping this tradition :) She would not nap until Steven brought her into our bed for the morning. The rest of the day she was fine---just that morning nap. Guess we have to break that habit! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful hubby! :)
Here we are at five months! My printer isn't hooked up so we had to go with the hand written sign. Ava is getting bigger and bigger everyday. She is just about sitting up on her own---still a little wobbly at times but does pretty well. This, of course, means she just wants to sit all the time and not be on her belly. When we go out she can now sit in the shopping cart and in the highchair---it is too cute. Of course we use the floppy seat because I'm a slight germ-a-phobe :) Ava's teething like crazy so I'm hoping she is one of those kids who just pops out a tooth and doesn't teethe forever! And the separation anxiety has set in :( she usually is ok with us walking away but does get pretty upset at times and has cried a few times when I've left her at school---totally breaks my heart. LIKES: food---we've gone through almost all of them her all time favorite is squash, sitting up, dada & I singing the Ava song [no, we won't sing it for you :)], bathtime---we had a splashing contest the other day-she won, toys and her lovey, going for walks and shopping DISLIKES: belly time, when people leave, garden veggies. Still loving the dislike list that's shorter than the likes!

Happy Easter! We took Ava to her first real church service today. She thought it was social hour and was chatting and smiling at everyone---she is such a ham. Thankfully she was so good but did try to sing at the wrong times :) Here are some pictures from this morning:

I'm on quite a roll w. these posts! Ava & I went on a walk today enjoying the semi nice weather. Of course she had to wear her adorable sunglasses like mommy!

Little Ms Ava sits all by herself now! She still wobbles a bit but is getting more and more balance each day! We were looking at the pictures in the book when she took over turning the pages---so here she is reading & sitting by herself!

I love watching her play---it is so much fun now! Of course her attention span is all of 5 minutes but I love seeing her figuring out the toy and laughing at the colors and noises.

Ava has her first ear infection---poor baby. Thankfully she is in great spirits and [so far] doing great on the meds. It is funny that she didn't have any "typical" symptoms of an ear infection but I knew she had one---mother's intuition? I guess I spend enough time w. infants I should be on to this stuff :) And don't worry---she is milking it for all its worth [wonder where she gets that?] On a side note, she has added carrots to her favorite food. She is not a fan of garden veggies. So we are on to the mixed foods now---exciting stuff!
Here are a few pictures of Ava at school. We have this great program w. Snapfish that hosts all of the classroom pictures. It is so great to see what she does w. her friends.
