Ava Louise finally made her debut on Friday, October 26, 2007 via c-section. We were scheduled to go at 11 but ended being pushed back until 2. Going 15 hours with out eating when you are 9 months pregnant is not fun! The section went well although my spinal almost didn't take in time. It is the weirdest feeling not being able to move your legs. My blood pressure has been up since Friday so of course that worries me... She finally came at 2:34 pm weighing in at 9 pounds and 21 3/4 inches long. She is just perfect and we are head over heels in love with her. Here are a few pictures of her:

So here we are at 40 weeks! I honestly never thought I would be *this* pregnant but we made it. We scheduled our c-section for Friday at 11am. She's being evicted! My doctor wanted me to wait it out 1-2 more weeks. Um, no thank you. I've had no progress, can't walk due to Ava on my sciatica and don't want to wait another 2 weeks just to have a c-section. So she will be arriving on her due date-punctual like mommy! I have a million different emotions running around and can't believe we will be holding our little girl so soon! Steven is thrilled because she her debut will not interfere with the Sox in the World Series. :) Here are a few last belly pictures:

So here we are at 39 weeks. So much for going early! We had another ultrasound and everything looks great! There is no progress...still 1 cm dilated, baby is up high and no effacement. The dr. said if he had to induce today it would be a failed induction...she's just nice and cozy in there...right on my sciatic nerve. This makes walking extremely painful and makes me cry with every step.Oh and she is measuring at 8 lbs 13 ounces! So right now we are looking into a c-section. Not my first choice but I don't want to labor, push and then have an emergency c-section. Even with how big she is the dr won't induce until 41-42 weeks! All the moms I work for say a cesarean is the way to go. We should be hearing back on Monday as to when we can schedule the big day! We've tried everything to get her out...including bribing her with Tiffany's. She just does not appreciate the little blue box yet. I'll remember that when she is 16!
No real news...I lost a pound :) and am one cm dilated. Dr is certain I won't be going before my due date which sucks but she'll come when she is ready!
giggles, grins & good times!
