December was a crazy mix of holiday fun, school activities, sports and everything in between. Ava & Cole got their first report cards of the year and they were phenomenal! We were so proud of them and all their hard work. Cole got his progress reports from OT & speech and is doing fantastic in those as well. The kiddos also started basketball. We were spoiled with our set soccer schedule and now basketball is all over the place with games anywhere from 8am-3:30pm. It makes planning our weekends fun!
Logan and I had some sick days and then Cole was hit with RSV. Poor guy came home from school miserable with a 102.5 fever and just crashed on the couch for hours. Thankfully, a dose of steroids got his coughing under control and he was back to bouncing around the house in no time.

The kids {and us} had a blast playing with the new Wii U. They love Just Dance and it's absolutely hysterical watching them.
We had some beautiful weather and made sure to soak it up as much as we could. We went on our second annual post-Christmas hike.
My sweet family {and one particular child} were convinced that Logan and I would not make it up the steep, steep hill during the hike. I believe said child's words were, "Mom, there is no way you, Logan and that belly are making it up that hill." We did just fine, thankyouverymuch.

We squeezed in some much needed playground time, too
A lot of Lego sets were constructed over the course of vacation
We got a dusting of snow and the kids couldn't wait to get out there and get sledding. Our new front yard has a great hill to slide down. We had quite a few neighborhood kids over and the kiddos had a great time in the snow. I'd be perfectly happy if that's the only snow we get for the year. {wishful thinking}

This bad boy was delivered for our next big project. I'd like to call this extreme nesting. I'm determined to finish up {most of} our projects in, oh, 2 1/2 months---yikes.
We celebrated the New Year with some friends and lots of laughs. The kids were all determined to stay up until midnight and they all did! At 8 I was ready for bed but rallied with some extra dessert and lots of board games. We played Minute to Win It games and just had a really great time.
I "rallied" too hard and then couldn't fall asleep. Baby Quattro apparently thought it was party time and at 4:30 am this was my view of my dancing belly
and snack that I finally gave in to.

Steve took almost 2 weeks off for the holidays so it was so great having him and the kids home with us. We got a lot done and had some great family time. I can't believe how fast vacation flew by. The kids slept in almost every day which was so nice but rough when we had re-entry into our normal routine.
